Our Journey

Historically, lanolin has been a beloved skincare staple, cherished by generations of Australian women. In the 1990s, an innovative Australian entrepreneur recognized the growing demand for high-quality lanolin-based products among tourists visiting Australia. By developing moisturisers using cosmetic-grade purified lanolin, they created a skincare range that quickly captured hearts.

As tourists shared these treasures with loved ones back home, demand flourished across Asia. By the early 2000s, thousands of Lanolin Beauty products were being exported overseas, making our brand a household name abroad. However, within Australia, our presence was known only to a loyal few who had stumbled upon our products in tourist outlets.

And then, the world changed with the onset of COVID-19.

A New Chapter for Lanolin Beauty

In 2021, amidst the challenges of the pandemic, Roger Kirwan stepped in to lead Lanolin Beauty into a new era. Having grown up on a sheep farm, Roger’s connection to lanolin runs deep. As a young shed hand working with shearing gangs, he marveled at how lanolin, found naturally in sheep’s fleece, left hardworking hands soft and protected.

With a passion for lanolin and a deep belief in its benefits, Roger purchased Lanolin Beauty, determined to revive its iconic status. Today, he ensures that every product is proudly 100% Australian-made, with all packaging, components, and production sourced locally. Roger’s vision is to celebrate the brand’s heritage while building a future where new generations embrace lanolin.

New Creative Energy

In 2022, Katy Carroll joined the Lanolin Beauty team as Creative Director and the face of the brand. A mum of two, Katy balances her family life with her passion for beauty and skincare, a field she has worked in for many years. 

Her extensive beauty and skincare experience shapes Lanolin Beauty's looks, feels, and connects with its audience.

Katy’s mission is clear: to educate women worldwide on how to use Lanolin in their skincare routine. Her work inspires women and teaches them how to get the most out of Lanolin's amazing benefits on the skin.

Her mission is to make lanolin skincare relevant to a younger audience. She’s dedicated to showing how this timeless, natural ingredient can transform modern skincare routines, making it essential for today’s beauty lovers. Katy takes the lead in creating a fresh, vibrant image for the brand, crafting engaging content and campaigns that bridge tradition with innovation.

Through her work, Katy continues to inspire both loyal customers and a new generation to embrace the magic of lanolin.
